Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Garner Desk collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email hello@garnerdesk.com.
Who we are
Garner Desk is the trading name of a sole proprietor registered in the Philippines. We help business owners gather, clean up and organise their leads. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@garnerdesk.com.

- People who book a call, fill in a form or email us
- Business contacts we reach out to about our services
- Our clients
- The people in our clients' lead lists, whose data we handle on our clients' behalf (see "Client data" below)
What we collect
- Details you give us: name, work email, company, job title, phone number if you share it, website, and your answers when you book a call.
- Messages: emails and call notes between us.
- Business contact details from public sources: for outreach, we may collect a person's name, job title, company and work email from company websites, LinkedIn and business directories.
- Website usage: pages visited and how you arrived, collected by cookies (see "Cookies").
We do not knowingly collect sensitive data such as health, financial account or ID numbers, and we ask you not to send it.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and run calls you book | Legitimate interests; steps before a contract |
| Deliver the work you hire us for and invoice you | Contract |
| Email business contacts about our services | Legitimate interests |
| Keep business and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Website analytics cookies | Consent, where the law requires it |
Business outreach and opting out
We sometimes email business contacts who we think may benefit from our services. Every email tells you who we are and how to stop hearing from us. Reply "unsubscribe" or email hello@garnerdesk.com and we will stop. We keep a short record of your email address only so we never contact you again.
Client data
When you hire us, we work with your contacts and leads on your behalf. For that data you are in charge (the controller) and we act on your instructions (the processor). In practice this means:
- We sign a confidentiality agreement with you before we start.
- We only use your data to do the work you asked for. We never sell it, share it or use it for our own marketing.
- We never ask for your passwords. You give us access through your providers' own sharing settings, and you can switch it off at any time.
- We remove our access at handover and delete any working copies within 30 days of the project ending, unless you ask us to keep them.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. They only process data so we can provide our services:
- HubSpot: CRM, website, forms and booking
- Google Workspace: email, calendar and files
- Jotform: agreements and e-signatures
- Our payment provider: to take payment, when you become a client
We do not sell personal data. We only share it with others if the law requires us to.
International transfers
We are based in the Philippines and our providers store data in countries including the United States and the European Union. Where data leaves the UK or EU, we rely on our providers' legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Prospects: up to 2 years after our last contact, or until you ask us to stop.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then as long as tax and legal record-keeping requires.
- Client data: deleted within 30 days of the project ending (see above).
How we protect it
We use reputable providers with encryption, two-step verification on our accounts, and give access only to the people who need it to do the work.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it for marketing, or object to how we use it
- limit how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere
- withdraw consent you have given
Email hello@garnerdesk.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the Philippines it is the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Cookies
Our website uses cookies from HubSpot to see which pages people visit and to make forms and booking work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, like booking a call, may not work without them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
